But first you've got to raise your standards.I know at some point you had big dreams. You felt and believed that you were going to change the world in some significant way. Make things better, safer for our kids. Something. You knew deep down that you had a special gift that no one else has.You know what, come a little closer I want to make sure you hear this--You did have a special gift. And...

you still do! The gift that you were so sure you had didn't leave you, you left it.Oh, I know the drill. Your goals and dreams have taken a back seat to trying to scratch out a living. They've become buried in the daily struggles and frustrations of life. So much so that now you don't even think much about achieving your goals and living your dreams. It's all you can do to get to the end of the week.

Life has become nothing more than a struggle for survival to the next crisis.Well kids I'm here to tell you, there's more to Life than just surviving it.If you're not either currently living your dreams or feel absolutely certain about the path you're on leading to the achievement of your goals and dreams here's why. Don't take this personally, or do take it personally, either way what it boils down to is your standards for what you EXPECT are too low. One of life's truisms is that we absolutely get what we expect to get. Set your personal standards on average and that's exactly what you, everyone, and everything around you will be. On the other hand (and yes, the choice is yours) be the kind of person who insists on above average EVERYTHING and you'll find yourself living in an above average environment.Oh and that gift that you left somewhere back there? It's still right there waiting for you to pick it up.

But first you gotta? Raise your standards. Thanks for stopping in.Live some. Love some. Learn some.

With the holidays just around the corner, eBikes of Ohio, LLC today introduced the Pukka Electric Minibike to the Tri-State area. The Pukka Electric Minibike, which features BMX styling and a monoshock suspension and frame, combines the soul of an old gas mini-bike with 21st-century technology to deliver unique features and performance. eBikes (www.ebikesofohio.com), based in Liberty Township, Ohio, is currently the only authorized dealer of Pukkas in the state.Unlike many of today's noisy gas scooters and dangerous pocket bikes, Pukka is completely electric and offers safety features that are not available on competitor products. The Pukka difference is found in the bikes high-efficiency, 400-watt motor, case-hardened frame, upgraded brush-tensioning system, and four-brush design. The Pukka's battery pack is a deep-cycle, rapid-discharge technology, which is considered too expensive by many scooter and electric bike manufacturers, but essential for Pukka's performance.

The heart and soul of the Pukka is its proprietary Pulse Width Modulator, which pushes the bikes reliability, produces the bikes high performance, conserves energy when it can and delivers a significant 55 amps when necessary."The Pukka is a unique mini-bike that looks and performs better than many of the more expensive models on the market," said James Wilson, partner, eBikes of Ohio. "People have a lot of choices when it comes to buying scooters or mini-bikes. Unfortunately, if they are buying off-the-shelf scooters or electric bikes, they will find the cheapest materials, motors and batteries that money can buy. They will not find quality craftsmanship, custom engineering and fine tuning. The result, of course, is predictable; an underperforming scooter."One look at a Pukka and you will see that it was made with safety and quality in mind.

When you combine the Pukka's quality, performance, long-lasting battery life and safety features, you will not be able to find a better product for the money. The Pukka is a perfect gift for ages 11 on up, and also makes for a fun employee gift and prize at corporate holiday parties."Pukka offers the following performance and features (performance based on rider size):????Top speed: 17-19 miles per hour, 14 miles per hour with Parental Speed Control? enabled;????Battery life: Up to 24 miles per charge;????Acceleration: 0-17 miles per hour in 3-5 seconds;????Highly efficient 400 watt motor;????Thumb-activated accelerator;????Oversized tube monoshock suspension;????BMX-style handlebar and stem;????Puncture resistant tubeless tires; and????Built for individuals up to 220 lbs.Considered by Electric Scooter World as "one of the best performing electric scooters under $1,000," Pukka's are available for $329.95 plus tax. (A 2 Amp charger is included.)

Buying gifts for a man is easy if you know what his interests are. And while many of the gifts that men like won't necessarily qualify as 'romantic' - at least from a woman's point of view - this is the time to be a little flexible in your approach. What's the point of buying him a designer bath set when he'd rather have a new pair of running shoes? After all, the idea behind gift giving is that you give the person something they'll treasure, or at least appreciate. And while it might not be what you'd want for yourself, this is about him. So maybe it's time to expand the definition of a romantic gift.So what do men want?We once overheard a male friend complaining, "Just once I'd like to open a Christmas gift and find a great set of wrenches instead of socks and a silk bathrobe!" Another man we read about lamented, "Wouldn't it be great to have my girlfriend say to me, 'I love it when you turn up for dinner with grease under your fingernails after working in your garage. And I hope you realize that I don't mind how long you spend in there because I know how much you enjoy it.' If she said something like that instead of carping at me for wasting time in the garage, I'd know she accepts me for who I am."On the other hand, a male schoolteacher we know said, "I'd love a woman to send me flowers.

Or give me a book of poetry by my favorite Australian bush poets. It would show that she's taken the time to learn what I like." So obviously it takes all kinds. Many men enjoy receiving sensual gifts from their lovers, while other prefer something "practical". And many women accept and support their boyfriends' preoccupations with "guy stuff" and buy them exactly what they want. One woman whose husband loved putting things together presented him with his gift in pieces (each individually wrapped) so he'd have the additional pleasure of assembling it himself.

He was absolutely blown away by her thoughtfulness. How about the man in your life?Where does your relationship fit in? Is your partner an action man? Mr. Wall Street? A brooding rebel? A sensitive writer or artist? A solid citizen? Or any of the other million variations we see in the male gender?Whoever he is, he has his own likes and dislikes, things that excite him and things that bore him to tears. So if you don't know him well enough to buy him a gift he'll salivate over (and we don't mean Playboy magazine), ask someone who does. This might include- the man himself- his best friend- his brother- his fatherOr simply observe what he likes and dislikes and file the information away for when you need it. Then give him something he'll absolutely love..

Intuition is an incredible resource and gift that we have been given to help us live our best life. Unfortunately, not many people know what it is or how to use it. The word intuition means "in to you" in Latin. Florence Scovel, a theologian, once said, "Intuition is the spiritual faculty that doesn't explain; it seemingly points the way." It's also been said that intuition is your divine Spirit talking to you. If you will stop for a moment and acknowledge this, you will begin to realize the incredible perspective you have at your fingertips.

You have this very amazing power! And you don't even have to get any special training to start using it. All you need to do is raise your awareness about it and set your intention to harness it.Intuitive messages range from an inkling to a strong sign or message. Your inner self is persistent and consistent. It will keep trying to get your attention until you finally wise up! An inkling is like a glimmer or passing feeling/ thought that comes from somewhere inside and usually proceeds a hunch or intuitive message. A "hunch" is accurate information from a higher intelligence; therefore, you can rely on it.

An intuitive message ranges from hearing actual words, seeing a clear picture, or a deep inner knowing. Some people experience intuition as a feeling, others a gut reaction, others will see images or have a dream, others hear an actual message. Become familiar with how your inner self communicates with you. Once you receive the message, check it out with your research and commonThe best ways to get in touch with your intuition are:1.	Be quietPractice taking time out every day to experience silence. Calm your mind with traditional or active meditation.

Release your need to think, analyze, and know everything. The best information comes from the deep recesses of your soul.2.	Be openOpen to the gift of intuition and accept what is has to tell you. Many times, our ego thinks it has it "all figured out," but your true path may look very different than the one you are on. Being open to new possibilities and ways of living is key.3.	Be creativeThere are many ways to be creative, painting, writing, dancing, designing a website, etc. Do something that helps you get into the "flow," that place where time seems to fly by and the work is leading you.

Creativity is an expression of your soul and goes hand-in-hand with intuitive guidance.4.	Ask questionsWhen you ask yourself questions, you gain additional insight and clarity. When you ask a question like "What is the next step I need to take?" know that you already know what you need to know. Trust yourself. You already have everything you need inside.5.	JournalWhen you write, you tap into thoughts, feelings, ideas and direction that you are not consciously aware of. Writing allows the truth to come forth and is an easy way to gain insight from your inner self. You can further develop your intuitive guidance by preparing yourself by gathering the necessary information and experiences to provide more of an opportunity for your intuition to surface.

Intuition cannot be forced; you need to allow it. After loading up your mind with information about the issue, give your intuition time to work on it. And then become open to the answer. You will likely experience an "Aha" moment, which is a moment of instant awareness, where the answer sprouts from "out of the blue." If you have an important decision to make and are not 100% sure about something happening, stop and think before making a decision. Usually this is your intuition trying to tell you that something is not quite right.

Likewise, if you feel that you should go for it, do it, so you don't miss a valuable opportunity.Intuition is your very own best friend. It is always there for you. It waits patiently for you. It gives the absolute best advice, and all you have to do is ask! Like any good friendship, all it takes to nurture it is a little time and attention. If you decide to be close and intimate with your intuition, I promise that your life will transform into something wonderful..

Need help with gifts? Not everyone is good at choosing them. But there's more to gift giving than getting gift ideas from someone else. This is why we'd like to share our gift giving philosophy: Focus on "The Who". No, no, no... not the band. Don't go giving someone a "the who" t-shirt.

(Unless, of course, they are a fan of Pete Townhsend.) What we mean is... who is the recipient? Who are you giving to? And we don't mean their name. You need to know about this person. You can't give a great gift without knowing that. It's helpful to have a general idea of what they like, and better to know some specifics details about their life and personality.

It's also useful to know what they dislike (to avoid the "wrong" gift). For your own, self-made help with gifts, ask yourself: Where do they work? Do they like what they do for a living? How do they spend their day? Their night? Their free time? Do they have any hobbies? Where do they live? What kind of car do they drive? Are they married? Do they have any kids? What about pets? These are all questions whose answers can give you the information you need to choose the perfect gift. People notice and appreciate it when you take the time and effort to pick out a gift that reflects WHO they are. It's an especially thoughtful gift when you can give something that relates to a person, pet, cause, or idea that is important to your recipient. Notice we said "important to your recipient", not "important to you".

Gift giving is not about you. It's about them. Some people tend to forget that and end up giving a gift that they would like themselves. Another tip: If you are an important person in the recipient's life, a gift that involves giving of your time is usually appreciated. For example, if you've been working a lot and haven't had much time to spend with your spouse, for your anniversary, consider giving a weekend getaway together. That in itself is a good example of examining a person's life or situation and turning it into a great gift idea.

The situation is: your spouse hasn't had the quality time with you that he/she deserves. The gift is: a weekend getaway together. It's a simple concept really. Create your own help with gifts: take a look at who you are giving to and try to understand the circumstances of their life. Then find a gift that fits! Put that brain of yours to work to find the perfect gift! And don't forget to use your heart, too.

That's where the ALL of the really good gifts come from. :)We hope this help with gifts and gift giving has been... well... helpful! For more help with gifts, visit http://www.the-gift-wizard.com.

It's November 1st. You've walked into your favorite store to buy half-priced Halloween candy and what do you see? Christmas decorations! "Oh, no!" you think to yourself. "That can only mean one thing..."The HOLIDAYS are coming!Don't stress?you're going to start early and be more organized this year...Here are some tools and tips for staying on top of the busy and sometimes stressful holiday season.TOOL #1: ListsWhy keep lists? Whether they are written on paper or typed onto your computer, a list allows you to do a sort of ?brain dump' of everything you need to recall at a moment's notice. There are so many different things to remember when it comes to holiday time: Your husband's shirt size, the spices you need for this year's stuffing, what store has gift wrap on sale, etc. Unless you have an incredible memory, keeping lists will help get you through some of the stress of the holiday season. Some examples of list topics you may need during the holidays are:

food shopping list
lists of dishes to prepare when entertaining
gift list
invitation lists
TOOL #2: CalendarThis may be the most important organizing tool you use this season.

Why use a calendar? A calendar is a tool that helps you plan what you need to accomplish in a day, a week, or a month. And boy, is there a lot to accomplish during the holidays! As opposed to just making to-do lists, sometimes seeing time in visual blocks on paper (or electronically) helps one to manage their time more efficiently...Examples of activities to be scheduled during the holidays are:

food shopping
gift shopping
cooking
wrapping gifts
trips to the post office
holiday parties (whether hosted by you or someone else)
Become a ?Master of Time Management.'How will you know how much time to put aside for each task? Work backwards from the day or time that a task needs to be done by. Estimate how many hours/days it would take to complete the task. Schedule the time and and mark your calendar accordingly. For example:Task:Cooking a turkey for Thanksgiving (to be ready by Thursday at 5pm)Steps:

Purchase turkey at least one week before Thanksgiving (enter task in calendar for the week before Thanksgiving)
Defrost turkey 2-3 days before Thanksgiving depending upon size (calculate defrosting time and enter task in calendar to be started on Monday or Tuesday before Thanksgiving)
Cook turkey. This can take 3-6 hours depending upon size (calculate cooking time and write on your calendar for Thursday what time the bird needs to be in the oven by in order to finish cooking by 5pm)
A schedule is a guideline and should be flexible.

Try to schedule tasks to be completed ahead of deadline. This allows for any problems or emergencies that may arise.TOOL #3: Quality Storage ContainersDishesAre your holiday dishes in a box in the attic? A great product for protecting and storing your holiday (or any type of) dishes are China Keepers. They are padded/quilted, made of either cotton or vinyl and come in different shapes and sizes depending upon your storage needs.*Lillian Vernon Online sells them in six different patterns including one set decorated for the Christmas season (www.lillianvernon.com).Holiday DecorationsSome people decorate their homes only in the winter and some people choose to decorate for every holiday in the year. Whichever person you claim to be, it is important to keep your decorations from being ruined due to improper storage and care. A few options are:

large plastic bins with ornament dividers
ziploc bags for small items such as ornament hangers and anything small enough to get lost in a big box
small plastic bins for lights, candles, and the ziploc bags of smaller items
wreath boxes specially designed for wreath storage (found at www.organizes-it.com)
*Label everything so you can find it easily next year.Leftover FoodWrapping leftovers in tinfoil might be a quick way to get them from frying pan to fridge but you'll be spending a great deal of time figuring out what's inside of them.

Use food containers such as those made by Rubbermaid or Tupperware or ?disposable' containers such as ones made by Glad and Ziploc. They're found in most supermarkets. They stack well and if you want to give out leftovers to your guests, they're not very expensive to replace.Tips for staying organized throughout the holiday season:

Wrap gifts and write holiday cards as early in the season as possible. I don't know anyone (including postal employees) that want to be in the post office around the time of December 25th...
Shop early in the season, at off-peak hours or online if at all possible
When storing ornaments, group them by theme. This will make it easier to find exactly which ones you want.
After the holiday, sort through ornaments, wall/door hangings, linens, etc.

and purge anything that you do not need, want, or is beyond repair.
Above all, remain calm. If you stay organized, the holidays will be less stressful and you will enjoy yourself even more. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!.
